Help Centre: guides for your panel
Here you will find a separate guide for every area of your panel: maintaining the menu, handling orders, setting delivery prices, configuring VAT, setting up screens, subscription and data protection. The guides describe exactly the buttons you see in the panel and give the order of the steps.
Looking for what the platform can do rather than how to set it up? Then start at All features at a glance.
First steps
Sign in, set up and get ready to start.
- Understanding the Control Center (Dashboard) — Overview of the control center: quick tiles, license display, mandatory-information notice, plus language and design.
- Sign in to the panel & reset your password — How to sign in to your restaurant's management area and reset your password securely.
- Set up mandatory details & business information — Correctly store your legal notice, legal form, tax mode, alcohol and reusable-packaging details — the basis for the mandatory labelling shown to your guests.
- Set up restaurant profile & contact details — Set up your restaurant's name, description, phone, email, WhatsApp contact and address – with automatic saving.
- Panel Language & Design (Light/Dark) — Adjust the operating language and appearance of your administration. Both apply per browser and affect only the user interface.
- Go-Live Checklist: everything ready to start — The checklist before launch: mandatory information, menu, tax rates, service, payment and visibility – step by step.
Maintaining the menu
Dishes, prices, labelling and translation.
- Create a new dish – step by step — Create a dish in seven steps: identity, description, allergens, prices, extras, selection groups and image.
- Manage dishes: Editing, Trash & Archive — Edit existing dishes in bulk, adjust them via batch changes, save them as JSON, and use the Trash and Archive.
- Create, organise & translate categories — How to structure your menu into categories, change the order, assign images and translate category names.
- Prices, Variants, Extras & Selection Groups — How you map the way a dish is actually sold: a single price or variants, extras with a surcharge, and mandatory selection groups.
- Setting unit price, deposit & age restriction — Set the three mandatory details on a dish in a legally correct way: unit price (Grundpreis, PAngV), deposit (Pfand, VerpackG) and age restriction (JuSchG).
- Menu availability & scheduling — Control whether and when a dish can be ordered: stop sales, schedule "Available from" and tell the four guest states apart.
- Quick Import: Photo Scan (OCR) & JSON — Two fast ways to build your menu: capture a printed menu via photo scan or import a JSON backup.
- Translate menu – individually & completely — Offer your menu in five languages: translate individual dishes as often as you like, or the entire menu once per month.
- Allergens, Additives & Labelling — Store allergens (LMIV) and additives (E numbers) on the dish – they appear automatically in the right place.
- Add Images & Label AI Images — Give dishes an image and correctly label AI-created images under the EU AI Act (Art. 50) – what is labelled are images, not texts.
- Clean up archives (not a GDPR deletion) — How to clear completed and cancelled orders from the view. Emptying the lists is not a deletion under data protection law.
Handling orders
Everyday work in the order centre.
- The Order Centre at a Glance — The Order Centre brings together all incoming orders: live tickets, counters, signal tones, printers, cancellation window and archives.
- Accepting, editing & completing an order — The daily flow of an order from new to done: detail window, "Accept & confirm time" and the status steps.
- Decline or cancel an order — How you, as a restaurant, decline or cancel an order – with a reason and an optional message to the guest.
- Set the cancellation window for guests — Define how many minutes guests may cancel their order themselves online — default 10 minutes, before the kitchen starts.
- Confirm cash payment & understand time limits — Orders with payment on site must be confirmed first: reminder after 10 min, auto-cancellation after 20 min, acceptance up to 45 min.
- Sound Alerts, Printer & Keeping the Display Awake — Set up sound alerts for new orders per device, connect a receipt printer and keep the tablet awake.
- Set preparation times — Set the kitchen time for pickup and delivery. It feeds into the estimated time that guests see.
- Informing Customers & "Send to Driver" — Keep guests informed via WhatsApp or call. "Send to Driver" sends the order details to your own number – no dispatch.
- Enable Online Ordering & Maintenance Mode — Two switches control whether guests can order online: allow or pause acceptance, and maintenance mode for the menu & search.
Delivery and pickup
Service type, times and delivery prices.
- Choosing the service type: Pickup, Delivery or Both — Decide whether guests can pick up, have their order delivered, or both — and first set up the necessary delivery prices.
- Set opening & order times — Enter your pickup and delivery times for each weekday – with two time windows, midnight transition and closing days.
- Delivery Prices by Distance: Zones, Radius & ETA — Delivery prices based on the distance driven: zones in kilometres, maximum radius, free delivery from a minimum order value, and ETA buffer.
- Delivery prices by postal code (PLZ) — Set a delivery fee and a minimum order value per postal code – the prerequisite before you switch delivery on.
- Show map & route (no live GPS) — Optionally show guests a map with the route and estimated time of arrival – as an estimate, without live location tracking of the driver.
Payment and accounting
Payment methods, tax, receipts and reports.
- Payment methods: Cash & card on site — Set up cash payment and card on site – the payment methods without online connection, each with a confirmation flow.
- Activate online payment (optional) — Additionally offer online payment so guests can pay directly when ordering – securely via verified payment partners.
- Set VAT rates per category — Assign each category its tax rate. Unassigned categories stay untaxed – so complete this before launch.
- Receipt or Invoice? (Understanding § 14) — The difference between a receipt and an invoice – and when guests get which. A real invoice is created only on request or when the function is activated.
- Creating & numbering invoices — How to turn an order number into an invoice with a sequential § 14 number and output it as a PDF.
- Reports: Day, Month & VAT — Daily, monthly and VAT reports for your overview and tax advisor – each also available as a PDF.
- Export for Tax Advisors: CSV & DATEV — Hand your accounting data to your tax advisor as a CSV (Standard or Compact) or as a DATEV posting batch.
Website and promotions
Online presence, images and discounts.
- Set up logo & homepage images — Upload your logo and add homepage images – this is how you give your restaurant website its face.
- Website Settings: Map, Postcode Suggestion, Visibility — Three optional switches for your website: map & route, city suggestion from the postcode, and visibility for search engines.
- Create discounts & promotions — Automatic discounts without coupon codes: set value, type and scope. Promotions do not stack – the best one always applies.
Digital menu boards
Set up and control the screens in your shop.
- Setting Up Screens & Connecting Devices — Digital menu boards on TV screens: set the number, use Smart Distribution and connect a device.
- Designing boards: layout, language & banners — Design every menu board: board type, columns, orientation, banners and language per board.
- Show discounts on the boards — Additionally display an active promotion on your menu boards – a separate switch, independent of whether it applies in the cart.
- Power Saving & Display Schedule — Let your menu displays follow your opening hours and switch to power-saving mode outside those times.
Working on the go
Keep an eye on the restaurant from your phone.
- Working with the owner app — The restaurant app for your smartphone: log in, manage orders, get a push for new orders and quickly add to the menu.
Account, subscription and data protection
Term, data processing agreement, retention periods and requests from guests.
- Understanding subscription, term & lock screens — What the licence display and the various locks mean – and what to do when a lock appears.
- Data Processing Agreement (DPA) & GDPR status — The data processing agreement governs the processing of data on your behalf. Here is how to check the status in the GDPR section and which service providers work for you.
- Data Retention & Deadlines — How long order data is automatically retained and then cleaned up – notes after 30, orders after 365 or 90 days.
- Access (Art. 15), Erasure & Anonymisation — How to handle your guests' data-protection requests: access via export, erasure and anonymisation - every action logged.
To pass on to your guests
These pages are written for your guests, not for you. You can link to them or print them out.
- Confirm Order & Time Limit (Cash Payment) — Did you pay on-site? Quickly confirm your order via the link – otherwise it gets cancelled automatically.
- Cancel an order (for guests) — As long as preparation hasn't started, you can often cancel your order yourself; if you paid online, the amount is refunded automatically.
- Reading allergens & labels — What the notes on the menu mean: allergens, incl. VAT, base price, deposit, age rating, promotions and the AI notice on images.
- How to order – step by step — Order online step by step: open the menu, customize your dish, pickup or delivery, choose a time, pay and finish.
- Change the menu language — Read the menu in your language: German, English, Arabic (right to left), Kurdish or Turkish. Your choice is remembered.
- Order history, receipt & shipment tracking — Find your receipt and your order history on this device, and track a delivery as an estimate – without a precise live location.
