Informing Customers & "Send to Driver"

What is this? Here is how you keep guests informed and hand off a delivery. For the overview, see Order Centre.

Informing Guests

Within an order, you can with a single click:

  • "Inform customer of acceptance" – opens a pre-filled WhatsApp message to the guest,
  • "Call customer" – opens the phone app with the guest's number.

Both are manual and available at any time (provided a number is on file).

"Send to Driver" – what it is and what it is not

"Send to Driver" opens a pre-filled WhatsApp message to your own number with the order details. This is the only driver function. There is no dispatch or tracking system and no live location tracking – in keeping with the map, which only shows an estimate (see Display Map & Route).

Note

In preparation: An automatic WhatsApp notification (e.g. confirmation and acceptance directly to the guest) is prepared but not active by default. The manual WhatsApp function above is independent of this and can be used immediately.
