Setting up sound alerts, printer & keeping the display awake

What is this? The settings so that you hear new orders, print them and keep an eye on them on the tablet. The overview is provided by Order Centre.

Sound alerts

1. Under Sound alerts, switch on the sound for new and cancelled orders and choose the ring mode (once / 20 seconds / continuous) and the tone.
2. Important: These settings apply per device and are not transferred – set them up on every tablet/computer you use.
3. Browsers only release sounds after you have touched/clicked the page once.
4. If a confirmed order is left unattended, the alert becomes louder/clearer, so that nothing gets missed.

Receipt printer (if available)

1. Under Printer, activate your receipt printer and enter the necessary details (address, width, header).
2. With “Print automatically”, a new or accepted order is printed as a receipt.
3. Check the setup with a test print. Printing errors do not stop the process – if in doubt, check the printer.

Keeping the display awake

On a kitchen tablet, “Keep display awake” keeps the screen on (HTTPS + a short touch required; not available on some devices).
