Designing boards: layout, language, banners, menu/promo
What is this? This is how you design each individual menu board. For an overview, see Digital menu boards. You do this work in the Screens area.
Choosing the board type
- Menu board – your dishes as a clear grid with columns and banners.
- Promo board – a large-format poster without any menu data.
Layout, orientation & banners
- Set the columns, TV size and orientation (landscape or portrait).
- Choose the banner source: automatic from your dish images or uploaded by yourself.
- Assign categories specifically to individual boards. Categories not yet assigned appear in the “Unassigned” area.
Language per board
Set the language for each board (German by default). Arabic is displayed in right-to-left presentation; digits and prices remain in Latin script. You maintain translations just as you do for the menu (see Translating the menu).
Labelling on boards
On menu boards, allergen and additive codes appear as superscript characters next to the dish. The detailed legend, as well as the base price (Grundpreis), deposit (Pfand), age information and the VAT (MwSt.) line, are not shown on boards – this information belongs to the menu and to the order.
