Choosing the service type: Pickup, Delivery or Both

What is this? The service type determines whether guests can pick up, have an order delivered or both. For an overview, see Set up delivery & pickup flexibly. You select it under Logistics → Service options.

First: delivery needs a delivery price

If you want to offer delivery or both, first set up at least one delivery price – by postal code and/or by distance. Without a stored delivery price, a delivery service type cannot be saved; you will then be prompted to create the prices first.

Setting the service type

  1. Open Service options and select Pickup, Delivery or Both.
  2. Depending on your choice, the matching fields appear automatically – for example, the delivery address only with delivery.

What this changes

  • Pickup only: delivery times, delivery preparation time and address fields are locked.
  • Delivery only: pickup times and pickup preparation time are locked.
  • Both: guests choose for themselves in the cart.

Good to know

If you delete all postal-code delivery prices again, the service type can automatically revert to Pickup – provided no distance delivery price exists.
