Manage dishes: Editing, Trash & Archive

What is this? A management board with which you edit, hide or back up existing dishes in bulk. The overview is provided by Digital menu & QR menu.

This area (“Manage dishes” including Trash and Archive) is enabled depending on the restaurant. If it is not visible for you, continue to create dishes via Create a new dish and maintain them there.

Editing a dish

Open a dish in the board; the editing window is divided into several tabs (including Identity, Description, Prices, Extras, Image). You save changes directly.

Several dishes at once

  • Move or delete several dishes in bulk.
  • With batch changes you apply one field to several dishes at the same time.

Saving (JSON export)

Via the JSON export you save your menu as a file. You can later re-import this file via the JSON import.

Trash & Archive

  • Dishes in the Trash appear to guests as “currently not available”.
  • Archived dishes appear as “removed from the menu”.
  • A permanent deletion cannot be undone – handle it deliberately.

Note: Emptying lists is not a GDPR (DSGVO) deletion of order data – that is described in Access, deletion & anonymisation.
